HP has just unveiled a new netbook which has been designed for business professionals, this is the HP Mini 1104 and today we can tell you all about its technical specifications and a little about its design.
You can see full technical specifications here, prices start at $399.99 and this will get you the Intel Atom N2600 (1.60GHz) processor, 2GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM, a 320 GB 5400rpm SATA HDD, Intel GMA 3600 graphics, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, VGA-out, Ethernet, a VGA webcam, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, headphone and mic jacks Hp nc6400 notebook battery and an SD memory card slot. There are choices when it comes to operating system, however as standard it will run Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and this will be displayed on a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display which outputs at 1024 x 600.
Some highlights in regards to features include a large easy-to-use spill-resistant keyboard, a built-in accelerometer which assists with the hard drive data security if the laptop is jogged or dropped and up to 9 hours of life from the 6-cell high capacity Li-Ion battery. Perhaps less impressive is its 2.78 lb weight and 26.8 x 19.1 x 2.28 cm form-factor Hp elitebook 8530w replacement battery.
There are some obvious pros and cons with this model, firstly the display resolution is not going to be too pleasing on the eye, also there’s no HDMI output, no USB 3.0 ports, the bezel around the display is massive and on the whole the design is a bit chunkier than what we are used to these days, but 9 hours of battery life is something which can’t be overlooked and there’s nothing there which would put off a business professional who wanted a cheap, cheerful and portable netbook to take on their travels.
At just $399.99 we’re sure that the HP Mini 1104 will attract quite a lot of attention, however the bulky design may put some people off – will you buy this netbook in 2012?
